2011 Marks the 150th Anniversary of our Nations Civil War.
The Shadows of the Blue and Gray is celebrating the historic part of America’s growth with a jam-packed 2 days at City County Park in Princeton.
Although a battle reenactment is always a part of the event, this year will also focus on support activities and the living conditions of the soldiers of the time. Craftspeople, artisan demonstrations, visits to the encampments, a period dance for viewing and/or participation, a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln both days, a scavenger hunt, and period band music will be part of the days events. Craftspeople, musicians playing songs of the era, a storytelling woodworker, and merchants displaying wares for viewing and purchase will be on hand.
Attached is a sheet showing the costs associated with various aspects of the event. We would very much appreciate your participation at some level of sponsorship in order to make this years festival one to be truly remembered by folks of all ages. Support can be applied to any of the listings.
Festival supporters will be prominently listed on the map given out at the park entrance and also here on our website and facebook page.
Your contribution of support is tax deductible. Full or partial support of the more expensive items will make all the difference.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
